Today we again had several driving errands in the morning, picking up kids and dropping things off. Ended in Langford in the early afternoon for turkey dinner at my mum's. The RUQ pain is quite noticeable. Taking Advil and Tylenol. Concerned based on Google searches that I might have a gallbladder issue.
A family friend is a urologist in Duncan, and I spoke with them over the phone. They requested and reviewed my CT scan performed on Oct 10th from VGH and said everything looked good. There was no gallbladder or kidney or liver issues showing at all. They asked questions about if movement helped or not, and suspected that RUQ pain could be from fluid from cyst irritating the area. They advised that if I sleep on my right side (I do) it may be pooling around gallbladder/liver area and suggested I try sleeping on my back. They also suggested Zantac instead of painkillers. Advised to try not to stress about it as that may exacerbate it.
I took a generic Zantac (that my mum had on hand) before dinner, and took a few home with me as well. Ate enough but not a lot a lot of dinner, mostly stuffing. I felt better after talking to the urologist but still not 100%. Drove home around 8:30pm
I starting spotting (usual for getting my period). Had a small (1/2 cup?) of white wine while watching tv before going to bed.
I slept on my back that night.
Complaints: some pain in RUQ under ribs, especially when sitting
Food: normal but less, feel slightly nauseous or loss of appetite
Meds: Tylenol & Advil but not quite every 2 hrs, took one generic Zantac
BMs: normal
