Woke up at 7am feeling not great. Tried to do everything the same as the day before as it was such a good day. Took magnesium and Zantac around 7:20am.
I went to work feeling pretty nauseous but had to deal with the work issue from the night before. At times I felt ok. Other times felt like I might vomit or pass out. RUQ pain very present, radiating down my right flank and up to collarbone/shoulder with some minor chest tightness. But mostly what is preventing me from being able to work is being so nauseous. I'm having to find focus points in the room rather than watching people or screens move and breathe deeply to quell the nausea. I left work at 11:30am and went home. Even the walk home in the fresh air helped clear the nausea. I had a bath, tried to nap, felt sick laying down and a bit gassy. I tried some food and drink and kept it down though still belching a lot. Urinating more frequently but regular volume, probably because I've had more liquids than normal. Lots of stomach cramping around/beneath sternum between my ribs.
I took out my menstrual cup when I got home as I felt like it was putting pressure on my insides. Felt better to wear a pad instead.
Tried taking another generic Zantac at 3:15pm.
My dad had come down for a visit from Campbell River and arrived around 4pm. When my mum was off work, I asked her to drive me back to emerg as I thought the intense nausea and still present pain was maybe a sign that something was getting worse.
Went back to emerg at 5:30pm. The nausea has subsided but the RUQ pain continues to come and go and is the worst it’s been yet. Emerg doctor says they will book an ultrasound (U/S) of my gallbladder for tomorrow, and I should get a call in the morning for the appointment. The doctor suspects gallbladder issues, or, less likely, endometriosis, but says if it were the latter I should have a longer history of symptoms. I was given two Tylenol 3s to take before I left and six tablets to take home. I was discharged around 7:40pm and my sister drove me home. I was still in a lot of pain. I had some peppermint tea and went to bed around 9:00pm. Laying down on my back the pain felt quite significant mostly in RUQ but I was tense all over my abdomen. The T3s finally kicked in for me to relax and sleep around 9:30pm.
Complaints: intense nausea and RUQ/flank pain
Food: normal but stopped eating at 2:30pm
Meds: one generic Zantac, magnesium citrate, Tylenol, two T3s
BMs: loose
