Friday, October 26th

Got out of bed around 8:30am extremely nauseous; dizzy; feeling lightheaded. I took two Advil.
I told my husband I was feeling so much worse than before and I didn't think I could stay. He started waking the kids up and packing up to leave for home.
At 9:30, laying on the cool concrete floor, I took two regular Tylenol and two kids 15mg Gravol (all the anti-nausea we had on us). All I could think about was how far we were from any hospital, how long the drive was back home, how guilty I was for making us leave 12 hrs after we arrived... the kids were very upset but I could barely see straight and I was starting to panic that maybe I wouldn't be able to leave. I called my mum and asked her to meet us in Nanaimo to drive us the rest of the way home (my husband doesn't drive). We did leave shortly thereafter.
I was breathing aloud to try and keep the nausea at bay. I tried eating some mandarin oranges and rice crackers, but could only manage a few bites of each. My lips and my hands and my arms and legs all started to tingle around Kennedy Lake.  told my husband maybe we needed to call an ambulance. He said he thought I was having a panic attack and hyperventilating and to slow my breathing. That helped. We were stopped at a construction road stop and so had a 10min break where I was able to calm down and continued on. My husband didn't tell me until later that we actually didn't have any cell reception at all when I was having my panic attack nor for another 20+ mins further down the road. I was drowsy probably from the Gravol and lack of sleep, but I felt almost normal by 11am. We arrived in Nanaimo just after noon, and my mum and her partner drove us the rest of the way. Took two more Advil at 12:30 and called my GP. I was told by the receptionist that Wednesday’s ultrasound of my gallbladder was totally normal. I broke down and told her I was still having a really rough time with whatever is happening and made a follow up apptointment for Monday the 29th. Since my gallbladder was all clear, I ate a burger from A&W in Duncan. I cried a lot and slept most of the rest of the way home.
I got home at 2:30pm, had a bath and cried out of guilt for ruining our vacation, then slept for three hours.
I got up at 6pm, felt a bit nauseous, had a very small amount of dinner (pasta with shrimp, bacon wrapped asparagus and well done steak - my husband had cooked the big meal he planned for our getaway) and 2-3 glasses of water. I had several large burps afterward. I laid back down. Still really nauseous and a bit of belching. Took two more kids 15mg gravol at 9:45p and went back to bed for the night.
